I shot a whole year on a single 35 mm prime, and it changed my pictures more than any camera ever did.
You learn the frame
After a month, you know the frame before you raise the camera. You stop zooming with your feet and start composing with your gut.
Limits are a gift
When you can't switch lenses, you have to move — crouch, step in, step back. The constraint forces the picture to happen in the world instead of in the glass.
